Student programming

In addition to providing pre-major and career advising and offering the career development course, Lead with Languages:  Putting Language Skills to Work (IntlSt 275), and hosting the UW–Madison Languages website, the Language Institute organizes many different types of programming for students throughout the year.  The events, often co-sponsored by other campus units, include sessions to prepare incoming students for success in university language courses and career-focused workshops and networking events.

To raise awareness of the value of language learning and the many opportunities to study languages at UW–Madison, the Language Institute also staffs tables about the university’s language programs at the SOAR Resource Fair and at other campus events for undergraduate students.
