About the workshop:
This workshop for UW–Madison+ language educators will explore how AI tools can be leveraged to support Universal Design for Learning (UDL), creating an accessible and inclusive learning environment. Workshop participants will experience how AI can provide multiple means of engagement, representation, and expression, ensuring that all students—regardless of ability, background, or learning approach—have equal opportunities to succeed. Participants in the workshop will use AI tools to remove barriers, customize learning experiences for diverse student needs, and focus on practical application of AI, while saving valuable time. Workshop attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how UDL principles can guide the purposeful integration of AI into language education, making instruction more equitable and student-centered.
This will be a hands-on workshop, so please bring a laptop or other device!
