This small grant program is for UW-Madison graduate teaching assistants of language courses, or other graduate students in the departments and programs below, to participate in a summer workshop or institute focused on language teaching and learning. The grant may not be used for conference registration or for membership fees in professional organizations.
Graduate students in the following departments and programs are eligible to apply:
- African Cultural Studies
- Asian Languages and Cultures
- Classical, Ancient, and Near Eastern Studies
- French and Italian
- German, Nordic, and Slavic+
- Language Sciences
- Second Language Acquisition PhD Program
- Spanish and Portuguese
