The Korean Flagship Program provides opportunities for highly motivated undergraduate students of any major to reach a professional level of competence (a Superior level of proficiency) in Korean by graduation. The program combines intensive and rigorous study of Korean language and culture on the UW-Madison campus with a capstone year overseas at Korea University. The Korean Flagship is a collaborative initiative of the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures and Language Institute, with the Center for East Asian Studies and the SLA PhD Program. It is funded by a grant from The Language Flagship of the National Security Education Program.
